Hypocrite:
One who pretends to be what one is not or pretends to believe what one does not.

How does this make the fat guy wearing a 9/11 T-shirt a hypocrite? He is an American, isn't he? This guy (as well as 99% of the rest of us) feel "terrible" because these murders were aimed not just at the already-dead victims and their families, but at the rest of us too. As Turbulence put it, IT'S PERSONAL. If it weren't for the happy accidents of geography and time, I or my family members might be dead too, just for being Americans. My sister and my Dad have been to the WTC, how many people do you know who have?

Look, Ramus, I can't argue you into caring about something you obviously DON'T CARE ABOUT, but if you don't think that our families, our friends, or our very way of life are special and worth fighting for, then I suggest you live somewhere else. You would be happier and so would the rest of us.

Except you won't find a home somewhere else. Because to the rest of the world, you will always be AN AMERICAN.
