OK, Sorry not to get back to this, I was having log-in troubles.
First of all, in response to clank-o-tron, keep in mind that the statistics I quoted were for a particular age bracket, and a conditional type of sex crime. The percentages as a whole take a drastic reversal once the kids reach 10-12 years old, and may not apply to kids under that age either.
The facts are so subjective it's almost enough to make you pound your head on your desk. I just read an article which says that "not only is the presumption that homosexuals are more likely to molest false, it's misleading...." It goes on to say that heterosexual molestations FAR out number homosexual crimes by 45 vs 55%.
(This is where the head pounding occured)
I realized it was ONE age bracket they quoted too, (of course the one which most favors them, and they didn't take into account the fact that heterosexuals drastically outnumber Homosexuals in population. So just the fact that it's even CLOSE in their example kind of defeats thier own premise. (not that I'm ignoring the fact that I chose the one that most made MY point)
Some agencies are all about reporting what makes thier position about what they believe look good, or not letting it appear BAD politically, while others are about reporting the truth as it IS. And clearly the latter dramatically out number the former, which is just wrong when you work for a news media.
As far as the 99% figure, I know it's sounds really high, but that was the point, but I'll link you to where I found it next time I'm on, it MAY have been a local survey rather than a national one, or perhaps it was just in a certain age group like 10-12). Most states only report 14 and older or CUMULATIVE minors 17 and under, and that might account for the discrepancy. And it was limited to sexual abuse only , not including violence.
In response, I know not all media is Liberal well, unless you are Pat Robertson, but I'm from LA and all of the Media HERE is... I think we can agree that generally speaking the closer you get to the coasts the more liberal the media gets. And the majority of major cities are on the coast.
I'll re-research now that I have access again. Thanks for you thoughts.
And keep in mind this is a conspiracy issue, not a anti anybody being different commentary.
